ALOW THE LORD TO TEACH YOU

 Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.(Psalms 25:4-5 (KJV))


 Who teaches you? Who do you allow to guide you?. Sometimes it's hard to know who we should be listening to. The psalms tell us that our teacher and guide is the Lord. Paying attention to Scripture, both the Old and New Testaments, reading them, studying them, reflecting upon them provides the guidance we need. But we need to reach out to them, because if we don't we will allow blind guides to teach us. The media is more than happy to teach and guide us. Do whatever you want, regardless of the consequences; climb over others to get to the top; lie if you can so you can avoid being blamed for something; money is more important than family; lust and greed are just ways to get what you want. This is the teaching of the world. The commandments have a different idea of what is right and wrong. The Beatitudes lead us in another direction as well. Working for peace and justice is the way of God. Sacrifice is the way of the cross. Love and forgiveness, compassion and kindness are the ways of Jesus. 


We are all children of the one God, created in his image and for the purpose of taking care of the created world. When we care for one another, we are following God's guidance. When we welcome the stranger, reach out to the poor and the vulnerable, we are allowing God to guide us. Let us return to the Scriptures again and again to teach and guide us through this life so that we may enjoy their fulfillment in the next life which is with God.

If you want to make the Lord the teacher and guide over your life, just recite this prayer after me believing in your heart that you are speaking with God..

PRAYER

HEAVENLY FATHER, THE GOOD TEACHER AND THE MASTER GUIDE, PLEASE I HAVE HUMBLED MYSELF BEFORE YOU TODAY AND I CONFESS THAT I CAN NEVER BE SUCCESSFUL WITHOUT YOUR TEACHING OR GUIDANCE, PLEASE TAKE OVER MY HEART, MIND AND SOUL AND TEACH ME HOW TO LIVE WITH YOU AND PLEASE GUIDE ME ON THE RIGHT PATH IN JESUS NAME. AMEN.

GOD loves everyone including you, that is why He sent His only son (Jesus Christ) to come and pay from for our sins that we will be save when we believe in the son of God.

  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6: 33. Seeking the things of God should be your first priority. When you pursue the things of God, you have put yourself in a place where everything that you require will come. God takes care of His own – He always does. Don't think you are missing out on anything when you are focusing on God – because you truly aren't. Never allow yourself to be carried away with it lust of the world.
